How muscle tension affects the jaw

Pain and clicking often involve tight chewing muscles and joint overload. Botox® relaxes overactive masseter or temporalis muscle areas to reduce strain on the joint and surrounding tissues.

What we do

After examination, we inject therapeutically into the muscles contributing to your symptoms. Relief can start within 1–2 weeks and continue to improve over several weeks.

Benefits

Can reduce pain and improve daily comfort while other therapies (splint, physiotherapy) continue as recommended.

Is this instead of a splint?
